Participants in the University of Macau’s (UM) Service Leaders Scheme organised a series of activities between August and November. The students visited Best Buddies Macao Association, Macau Special Olympics, the Fuhong Society of Macau, and a children’s centre under Caritas de Macau, and organised various activities, including dancing, painting, and badminton contests, for members of these associations. The Service Leader Scheme was launched by UM’s Student Affairs Office, with the purpose of encouraging students to participate in volunteer activities and give back to society.
