The University of Macau’s (UM) Library and Student Affairs Office recently co-organised the Reading Activity 2014. The activity aimed to inspire students to develop good reading habits and a love of reading. A writing competition was held as part of the event for students to share their methods of reading. The competition has received hundreds of entries. Prof Yang Yi from UM’s Department of Chinese Language and Literature was also invited to give a talk on how to find inspiration in books.
