The RGC-AoE Centre for Organelle Biogenesis and Function (RGC-AoE) and the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) on 20 May co-organised a symposium on biomedical and biomedical research at UM. At the symposium, prominent scholars from the RCG-AoE and the FHS delivered talks on biomedical and biological research. The symposium aimed to provide a platform for biologists to share their latest findings. Participants in the symposium also included renowned scholars and students from Macao and the neighbouring areas.

In his closing speech, FHS Dean Prof Chuxia Deng said that the symposium was a fruitful and meaningful event and would bring opportunities for mutual collaboration in scientific research between the RGC-AoE and UM. Prof Jiang Liwen, director of the RGC-AoE, said that the symposium provided a valuable platform for faculty members and researchers to exchange knowledge and research findings, which can help to improve the quality of teaching and research.

The delegation also took the opportunity to visit the FHS’ core facilities.
