Chair Professor Li Zongjin from the University of Macau (UM) Institute of Applied Physics and Materials Engineering has received the Arthur R Anderson Medal from American Concrete Institute (ACI), in recognition of his exemplary achievement, groundbreaking research, and service to the ACI and the concrete industry. Prof Li is the first Chinese scientist to receive this prestigious honour since the medal was established 45 years ago. Founded in 1904 and based in the State of Michigan, United States, the ACI is the oldest and largest academic institution in concrete materials and structure.
