One of the goals mentioned in the Macao SAR government’s policy address for the next year is developing Macao into a smart city. The University of Macau (UM) today (18 November) invited three world-renowned big data experts to attend the Macau Big Data Public Forum 2016. They were Prof Yang Qiang, chair professor and New Bright Professor of Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST); Prof Chen Lei, professor of computer science and engineering from the HKUST; and Dr Zheng Yu, research manager of Urban Computing Group from Microsoft Research.
