UM to hold talk on nurturing talent in science | ||||||

Prof Rui Martins, vice rector (research) of the University of Macau (UM), who is also the director of the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (AMS-VLSI Lab) and a chair professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, will give a lecture on Wednesday 16 March, as part of the University Lecture Series and the Collegiate Learning Day. In the lecture, titled ‘Two Decades Developing Scientists in Macao: From a Desert to a State Key Laboratory of China Excelling in the World-State of Electronics’, Prof Martins will discuss the history and achievements of the AMS-VLSI Lab, as well as the increasing international recognition UM has gained in the field of microelectronics. The lecture will start at 5:00pm in Room G013, Research Building (N21). UM. It will be conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation into Mandarin. All are welcome.
