UM Has Recruited 3 Professors to be New Deans

 

The University of Macau (UM) has recruited 3 news deans, namely Professor Gabriel Douglas Donleavy, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), Professor Shan Wen-jing (Peter), Dean of Faculty of Education (FED) and Professor Yufan Hao, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSH).

Professor Gabriel Douglas Donleavy, Dean of FBA, is a PhD in Accounting from the University of Glasgow. He read Economics at Cambridge University and Law at London University. He has 30 years of university teaching experience gained in full time positions at Bournemouth University of the UK, Victoria University in Melbourne of Australia, National University of Singapore and Hong Kong University. He had also been the substantive Dean of the Faculty of Business at Victoria University. He has published 6 textbooks and over 70 articles. His main teaching and research are in the field of Business Ethics.

Professor Shan Wen-jing (Peter), Dean of FED, holds a doctorate from the Department of Education of Taiwan Normal University. He also pursued his advanced studies in the University of Missouri (St. Louis), the University of Oregon (Eugene) and the University of Washington (Seattle). He has 31 years of university teaching experience gained in full time positions. Professor Shan has written extensively in the fields of moral education, curriculum and instruction, and comparative education. He has published 12 books and over 200 book chapters and academic journal articles in China, Hong Kong, Macao, Netherlands and Taiwan.

Professor Yufan Hao, Dean of FSH, obtained his MA and PhD from the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University. He has 20 years of teaching and research experiences, being a Visiting Scholar to International University of Japan, McArthur Fellow at Harvard University Center for International Affairs, Visiting Professor to Peking University and Tsinghua University, Robert Ho Chair Professor of Asian Studies and Professor of Political Science at Colgate University. Professor Hao has written extensively in the fields of international relations, international economics, U.S.-China relations, decision making and Chinese corruption. He has published 9 books and dozens of refereed articles and book chapters.
