A delegation led by Chen Zhu, a vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), recently visited the University of Macau (UM). The delegation was warmly received by Dr Lam Kam Seng, chair of the University Council; Prof Lionel Li, vice rector (academic affairs) of UM; and Prof Chuxia Deng, dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS). The delegation visited the FHS’s Cancer Centre, Drug Development Core, Animal Facility, and the UM Wu Yee Sun Library. Chen praised UM for its rapid development and research potential in various areas. He also expressed hope that UM will continue to take advantage of its unique strengths and increase collaboration with the rest of Hengqin.
