A delegation from the University of Macau (UM) recently visited the Ministry of Education. The delegation was warmly received by Zhao Lingshan, deputy director of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education. During the meeting, Wong Kei, functional head of UM’s Global Affairs Office, told Ministry of Education officials about UM’s latest developments after the new campus became operational. Prof Maggie Fu, acting dean of UM’s Graduate School, provided some information about UM’s admission of mainland students recommended by their universities with entrance exam exemption for postgraduate studies since 2011. She also talked about UM’s effort in improving the quality of its postgraduate programmes and thanked the Ministry of Education for its support in UM’s student recruitment in mainland China. Other members of UM’s delegation included Samson Cheong, functional head of promotion and admissions of UM’s Graduate School.
