A Thorough Understanding of Literary Geography, one of the representative works by Chair Professor Yang Yi from the University of Macau’s (UM) Department of Chinese Language and Literature, was praised by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Institute of Literature researcher Wang Ying as the ‘most pioneering and creative’ study in the field, in her book review in the Journal of East-West Thought (2014, vol 4). Published by the China Social Sciences Press in January 2013, A Thorough Understanding of Literary Geography is considered an important recent contribution to the field of literary geography research.
