The University of Macau (UM) Honours College (HC) today (3 September) held an admission ceremony on the new campus to welcome 48 new members, all of whom are tops students drawn from 19 programmes offered by seven faculties. At the ceremony, HC Dean Prof Mok Kai Meng encouraged all HC members to build a strong foundation of knowledge so they can one day give back to society. He expressed his hope that HC members can seize the wonderful opportunity brought by the new campus to pursue academic excellence. Prof Mok also noted that the previous cohorts of HC graduates have done very well academically and professionally, with some receiving offers from renowned universities, including the University of Cambridge, Columbia University, and Cornell University, as well as multinational companies such as Leighton and Baidu.
