New Campus Express is prepared by UM Reporters and reporters of the student newspapers UM Reflection Monthly, and Orange Post, and edited by the Communications Office. It aims to keep all UM members and other stakeholders updated on the latest progress of the new campus.

The new cohort of the University of Macau’s (UM) undergraduate students started checking into the eight residential colleges (RC) on the new campus on 16 August. The check-in procedures will continue until 22 August. As of today (20 August), 90 per cent of the new undergraduates have moved into their RCs. Although there is still room for improvement in the quality of some facilities, many praise the speedy repairs carried out by UM’s colleagues.

Also, orientation activities were held as scheduled despite the heavy rain in the last two days, to give international students an opportunity to taste Chinese cuisine and learn how to make dumplings. The activities also helped new students learn more about the new campus and make new friends.
