The University of Macau (UM) Office of Health, Safety and Environmental Affairs (HSEO) earlier organised a series of activities, including a workshop, booth games and medical tests, to celebrate the International Women’s Day and also to enhance health awareness among female staff and students. During the workshop the speaker explained the causes of some common sexually transmitted diseases and gynaecological diseases, how they are transmitted, and how to prevent them.

The activities attracted hundreds of faculty members, staff and students. Rector’s Office Director Ieong Sao Leng, HSEO Head Leung Chiu Ming, and HSEO Functional Head of Health & Hygiene Affairs Alice Tin also participated in the activities.
