The Graduate School is dedicated to enhancing postgraduate education. In recent years, it has worked closely with the other academic units in reforming postgraduate education. New policies and regulations have been implemented to increase the competitiveness of the postgraduate programmes.

In order to help the students know more about the latest updates in the relevant policies and regulations as well as to hear their comments and suggestions, the Graduate School has organised a series of  “Dialogues with Postgraduate Students”.  These activities aim to provide a platform for face-to-face interaction between postgraduate students and the senior management, various faculties, and the Graduate School.

These dialogues  usually begin with the remarks by the rector or vice rector, followed by a brief introduction to the Graduate School and a sharing session, and end with closing remarks by the faculty dean. This activity series has received great support from various units, and so far the total number of participants has reached 600.

The dialogue with postgraduate students from the Faculty of Law (FLL) was presided at by Rector Wei Zhao, and co-hosted by Graduate School Acting Dean Prof. Maggie Fu and FLL Dean Prof. Shijian Mo. Some students shared their concerns about their studies, and Rector Wei Zhao shared his learning experience with the students. His words of wisdom were received with a big applause.

The dialogues with students from the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), Faculty of Education (FED), and Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) were presided at by Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) Prof. Simon Ho, and co-hosted by Graduate School Acting Dean Prof. Maggie Fu, FBA Dean Prof. Jacky So, FED Dean Prof. Fan Xitao, and FAH Acting Dean Prof. Martin Montgomery respectively. Prof. Ho discussed whole-person development and inquired after the lives of the students.

The dialogues with students from the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS), Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), and Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) were presided  at by Vice Rector (Research) Prof. Rui Martins, and co-hosted by Graduate School Acting Dean Prof. Maggie Fu, ICMS Director Prof. Yitao Wang, FSS Assistant Dean Dr. Agnes Lam, and FST Associate Dean Prof. Ken Tam respectively.  Prof. Martins explained in detail the guidelines and regulations on academic research and provided useful information on subsidies and scholarships, which sparked vigorous discussions from the audience.
