The University of Macau’s East Asia College (EAC) held its first High Table Dinner in the new academic year on 24 October 2013. Approximately 200 students and teachers attended the event.

 

Dr. Peter Yu, dean of students, was invited to attend the dinner as a guest of honour. He used real-life examples to show students the importance of independent and critical thinking as well as the importance of respecting different opinions.

 

EAC fellows who attended the dinner included Prof. Rose Lai Neng and Dr. Joseph Adea Sy-Changco from the Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Walter Ho King Yan and Dr. Dennis Wang Ping Cheng from the Faculty of Education, Mr. Walter Wan Iat Meng from the Faculty of Science and Technology, as well as Mr. Terry Rex Wilson from the English Language Centre.
