A team of University of Macau (UM) students recently won the championship at a current events debate contest for non-local students studying in Macao. Participating teams from Fujian province, Guangdong province, Hubei province, Zhejiang province, and Macao, carried out heated debates on some current events which are of interest to the Macao society, including minimum wages and repeating grades, and in the end UM team won the championship.
