UM wins two Best Team Awards at the 3rd Cross-Strait Mandarin Debate Competition The University of Macau (UM) won two Best Team Awards at the third Cross-Strait Mandarin Debate Competition, which was held on 19 and 20 September, at UM. Apart from UM, Tongji University from Shanghai, Shih Hsin University from Taiwan, and Hong Kong Baptist University also took part in the competition. The debate topics were “Do the pros of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China becoming publicly traded companies outweigh the cons thereof or vice versa? ” and “Does Macao’s gaming industry play a positive role in the development of the cultural and creative industries?”
