Graduating high school students and their parents are now busy collecting information about universities in which they are interested. To let the students and their parents know more detailed admission information, the University of Macau (UM) will hold the “UM Open Day” from 19 Feb to 20 Feb. Various activities, such as exhibition booths and campus tours, will be available to let the public taste the multi-cultural life at UM and know more about relevant courses, scholarships and international exchange opportunities.

The theme of this year’s “Open Day” is “Viva Festival”. Aside from various fun activities, there will also be UM staff and students to answer the public’s inquiries. Since this year also marks the 30th anniversary of UM, a launching ceremony for the 30th anniversary celebratory activities will be held at 15:00 on 19 Feb. Chief Executive of Macao SAR and Chancellor of UM Dr. Chui Sai On will attend the ceremony. During the two days, participants can take part in various activities, like the “UM Time Tunnel” to know more about the history of the university. There will also be a wish-making tree for participants to write down their best wishes and expectations for the university.
